I've recently been almost overstocked on DS games and have been slowly working my way through them, with the upcoming Ace Attorney vs Professor Layton i decided to give the Layton games and thus received all three (all 3 available in Oz that is) for Christmas, but was previously working through Golden Sun (also quite good but with somewhat simplistic combat) but then last week picked up Ghost Trick.

(I felt very special getting it on pre-order through my local eb, and being told i was the only one to have done so in my area.) Well i mostly picked it up because it was made by the guys who made Ace Attorney (lead development was handled by Shu Takumi, the creator of the Ace Attorney series) because A) Ace Attorney is awesome and B) Ace Attorney 5 is still to confirmed and AA vs Layton is not due out till the 3DS and so forth but to be honest i didn't really know what i was getting into.

However after finishing it last night i can highly recommend it for its awesome quirky characters and very similarity humor as Ace Attorney, and with less face bleed puzzling as Layton can at times produce to a tired brain.

So yeah i recommend you try it, in the next month or so if in March your brain is going to be consumed by new Pokemanz
